10 JANUARY 2008 - HAIGH-FARR NAMED ANTENNA SUPPLIER TO SPACEX FALCON & DRAGON PROGRAMS

Haigh-Farr, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance aerospace antennas, is proud to announce that they have been awarded contracts to supply the Command, Telemetry, GPS, Iridium, Flight Safety, Radar Transponder, and TDRSS antennas for Space Exploration Technologies’ Falcon-9 launch vehicle and Dragon spacecraft. Haigh-Farr also supplies RF hybrids and dividers to the SpaceX Falcon-1, Falcon-9, and Dragon Programs.

“We look forward to further establishing our relationship with SpaceX and providing the key telemetry, command, and flight safety system antennas for the Falcon-9 and Dragon space programs. This represents another milestone toward expanding Haigh-Farr’s presence in space related programs, following previous antenna deployments on numerous space vehicles including United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V launch vehicle, NASA’s Phoenix Mars Lander, SpaceShipOne, and many others”, stated David Farr, Haigh-Farr CEO.

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk commented on the subcontract award, “the SpaceX Falcon and Dragon programs are driving performance and reliability up, and cost and schedule down. We selected Haigh-Farr because of their recognized ability to supply high performance antennas matching these aggressive goals.”
