Haigh-Farr's design and development capability is based upon decades of experience in the discipline of antenna design and RF signal propagation around flight bodies and other structures. The Company maintains a fully-equipped anechoic chamber capable of measuring radiation pattern characteristics over the entire sphere. Inasmuch as the vehicle serves as the groundplane for the antenna, a critical part in the design stage is the optimization of the radiation pattern taking into consideration vehicle geometry. Haigh-Farr employs both full and scale model measurements along with state-of-the-art electromagnetic computer modeling techniques to optimize radiation pattern characteristics.
