The job responsibilities include designing of stripline and patch antennas (conformal) and the supporting mechanical equipment utilizing AutoCAD/Inventor as well as advanced design and simulation software. You will be involved with the prediction of the environmental stability of antennas during vibration and heating. As your experience grows you will interface to manufacturing, define testing parameters and participate in new product proposal efforts. Since engineers at Haigh-Farr handle product designs from initial design through in-house production and customer test, this is a unique opportunity for the right individual. The successful candidate should be comfortable in a small company atmosphere where your contributions are clearly visible and are key to the success of the project.
Job Requirements:
Electrical Capabilities: Understand the theory of antenna design. Knowledge/Interest in ADS, Remcom, and HFSS is a plus. Knowledge/Interest in thermal and vibration/shock implications on designs.
Mechanical Capabilities: Some knowledge of CAD software (preferably ANSYS, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor). Knowledge of mechanical engineering including dimensions and tolerances of parts is a plus. Knowledge and experience with programming CNC machines a definite plus.
Software Capabilities: Programming skills such as Visual Basic and Matlab a plus. Working skills in MS Excel, Project, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint are required.
Educational requirements: Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. GPA of 3.0 or higher.

The ideal candidates will have production experience of precision devices with a steady work history and a desire to deliver quality products. In addition to Testing antennas, you may work in several additional areas of development/production that include following test procedures, coordinating vibrations test, working with outside test houses, shipping, etc.
We are specifically seeking several individuals with at least one of the following skills:
- Experience testing antennas in an anechoic chamber or open range
- Experience with frequency test equipment such as Orbit FR equipment and Frequency Measuring Equipment
- Experience testing devices on vibration machines a plus
- Experience working with outside test houses a plus
The successful candidates will have most of the following attributes:
- Strong hand eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Strong commitment to achieving quality work
- Team player who pitches in to get the job done
- Likes to work at a variety of different work stations as production needs require
- Must be comfortable with taking direction/constructive criticism from co-workers
- Meticulous record keeping with good computer skills
- Must be passionate and honest about self and job goals
Educational requirements: Minimum of a High School diploma or GED; higher education is a plus.

The ideal candidates will have 5 or more years of machinist experience on precision devices with a steady work history and a desire to deliver quality products. In addition to machinist duties, you may work in several additional areas of production that include following antenna assembly procedures, plating activities, etc.
We are specifically seeking several individuals with at least one of the following skills:
- Experience vertical machining low volume high precision parts with close tolerances
- Experience manual machining both hard and soft materials, (exp. with Duriod a plus)
- Strong math skills and excellent mechanical aptitude desired
- Experience with both manual Bridge ports and CNC machine operations
- Experience in working from prints required
- Experience working with odd shaped parts
