arrow  Test Technician:
 
Haigh-Farr is seeking a Test Technician with experience testing antennas in an anechoic chamber utilizing Orbit FR pattern software. Experience operating various RF Network Analyzers a plus.
 
Major Responsibilities & Tasks :
 
  • Work in several areas of test including our anechoic chambers, thermal cycle chambers and use of network analyzers.
  • Oversee the performance of environmental testing at outside labs including vibration, thermal vacuum, shock, salt fog and humidity testing.
  • Prepare test procedures, test reports, document test setups and otherwise ensure the orderly flow of testing.
 
Knowledge & Skills:
 
  • Positive, team player attitude.
  • Experience testing antennas in an anechoic chamber and operating RF Network Analyzers
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work independently
 
Education/Experience:
 
  • High-School Diploma or Equivalency
 
U.S. citizenship required. Ability to possess a security clearance

arrow  Mechanical Engineer:
 

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team! Responsibilities will include:

  • Mechanical design of our antenna products and associated parts
  • Mechanical design of tooling and test fixtures
  • Perform mechanical analyses—structural, thermal, etc.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to transition designs from Engineering to Production
  • Assist in the bid process by analyzing customer specifications, both design and test, to evaluate feasibility and cost.
  • Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3‐5 years’ experience; will consider recent graduate with exemplary academic record
  • Experience in RF component (preferably antenna) manufacturing a plus
  • Experience in the Military/Aerospace/Government (MAG) markets a plus
  • Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor)
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Experience with FEA software (preferably Ansys) a plus
  • Programming skills such as Visual Basic and Matlab
  • Working skills in MS Excel, Project, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint are a plus

arrow  RF Electrical Engineer:
 

The job responsibilities include the design and development of flight body antennas and their support equipment utilizing both stripline and microstrip technologies.  Experience with or demonstrated aptitude to learn  advanced design and simulation software a must.    Familiarity with RF antenna performance verification/test methods necessary as you oversee test engineering in validating the integrity of your designs.   Strong writing skills are necessary to assist in proposal preparation and communication with customers. 

This is a unique opportunity to see a design from start to finish since all design, fabrication and performance verification takes place on site.  This provides the qualified engineer with the ability to learn some element of all facets of the process and to get vast experience in designing for manufacturability.

Educational requirements:  Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering.  GPA of 3.0 or higher.
